Can I wrap fiberglass pipe insulation covering electric pipe warmers in duct tape without creating a fire hazard?

Had a pipe freeze, so installed electric pipe warmers. The instructions suggested I add insulation to keep the heat against the pipe, so I wrapped the pipes fiberglass insulation. The insulation came in a roll, though, and when wrapping the seams leave raw insulation is exposed. Can I wrap the insulation in duct tape so the insulation won't be exposed to the air without creating a fire hazard ? asked 01/26/2017 in Insulation and Weather Stripping by
